Lead Technical Writer Kevin Bucklew Named ONEIL Employee Owner of the Quarter

Each quarter, ONEIL recognizes one employee-owner who exemplifies our core values through dedication, teamwork, and commitment to excellence. For Q3 2025, we’re proud to recognize Kevin Bucklew, Lead Technical Writer, as our Employee Owner of the Quarter.

Kevin has been an integral part of the ONEIL team since joining in January 2009. In March 2025, he was promoted to Lead Technical Writer, a role in which he has continued to demonstrate outstanding leadership, initiative, and dedication to both his team and our customers.

In recent months, Kevin’s efforts have been instrumental in keeping multiple projects running smoothly and up to date. He’s known for his ability to balance priorities, adapt to shifting demands, and maintain focus under pressure. Kevin frequently travels for Validations and Verifications, taking initiative to resolve challenges directly with customers and ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.

His natural ability to build strong relationships with customers has positioned him to take some of the load off leadership, providing trusted support and fostering collaboration. Within the team, Kevin’s communication skills and leadership qualities shine through as he mentors and trains new writers—helping them grow and succeed in their roles.

Respected by his peers and admired for his positive attitude, Kevin is known not only for his professionalism but also for his warm and welcoming smile that brightens the workplace.

Congratulations, Kevin, on this well-deserved recognition—and thank you for your continued contributions to ONEIL’s mission to make equipment safer to use, faster to repair, and easier to maintain.

Briefly share your career trajectory and what originally brought you to ONEIL.
I enlisted in the U.S. Army after high school as a Wheeled Vehicle Repairer, and then completed an AS degree at Sinclair Community College in Business Administration. I worked in design and management roles in the retail and manufacturing industries. I was fortunate enough to land an opportunity with ONEIL during the economic downturn in late 2008. I felt that a company that was hiring in a bad market was a good sign.

What do you enjoy most about your work at ONEIL?
My work at ONEIL gives me the opportunity to unite many aspects from my past experiences. I can incorporate artistic design, creative problem solving, and hands-on automotive maintenance while working in a collaborative environment with great co-workers.

What motivates you to go above and beyond in your role?
I know that my work here has a direct impact on the people who are in our armed forces. Producing clear and concise information for those who serve is my top priority.
