Software Quality Assurance Test Specialist II

Locations: Miamisburg, OH


  • Participate in requirements and design reviews, as required
  • Assist in project planning and scheduling
  • Develop and update test plan and/or test case documentation, according to requirements
  • Assist to develop and maintain test automation scripts
  • Conduct test case reviews
  • Perform verification testing processes including identify risks, execute tests, document defects, and report on status
  • Support quality initiatives
  • Support quality reporting and trending requirements
  • Assist with development of SQA standards and process improvement
  • Perform any other job-related instructions, as requested with reasonable accommodation


  • General office environment; required to use office equipment (personal computer, telephone/smartphone, photocopier); required to sit/stand for long periods of time
  • May be required (on short notice) to work overtime/additional hours to meet deadlines; may occasionally require weekend and/or working holidays, as needed
  • May infrequently be required to travel by motor vehicle and/or airplane to attend conferences or perform onsite testing



  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, electronics engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience is required


  • One to three (1-3) years of full lifecycle software quality assurance testing experience is required

Technical Experience:

  • Experience working within virtual environments is preferred
  • Experience with different architectures (web, mobile, client) and testing within these environments is required
  • Intermediate-level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint is required
  • Basic to intermediate level of proficiency with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar is preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency level of automated testing software packages is required
  • Previous experience with Extensible Mark-up Language (XML) is required
  • Experience with ISO, SCRUM, and Agile methodologies or similar methodologies is required

Certification / Licensure:

  • Software Quality Assurance Testing Certificate is preferred (i.e.- ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE); International Software Certifications Board (ISCB); Certified Software Tester (CSTE); ISTQB Certified Tester (CT))
  • Government/Military Common Access Card (CAC) to work on assigned contracts and/or projects may be required

  • Fluent computer skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Ability to handle proprietary information in a highly confidential manner
  • Knowledgeable in field to skillfully perform assigned tasks
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skill at performing job responsibilities
  • Ability to be self-directed, be resourceful, and demonstrate creativity to meet job objectives and propose innovative ideas
  • Ability to be cost-effective in completing assigned tasks accurately and within established guidelines and timeframes/schedules
  • Ability to follow established company policies and procedures and customer guidelines
  • Ability to complete assignments on time, which may require overtime to meet deadlines
  • Ability to follow through on assignments and maintain a high level of integrity
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external personnel according to company guidelines; communicate project status to internal and external personnel
  • Ability to work proactively and efficiently to fulfill job responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines
