Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
In today’s markets, the ability to maintain and extend the life of your product can be as big a selling point as the product itself. Clear, concise maintenance and repair documentation can be vital to sales and customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, the necessary engineering data and analysis is often missing or incomplete. When it is available, interpreting engineering data and diagnostics can be difficult and time consuming, even if you have the ability and manpower.
Creating Documentation That Works
That's what we do when we create maintenance and repair manuals or troubleshooting guides. We use engineering data to find out what can go wrong, write how to diagnose and fix the problem, then verify that the diagnosis was correct and the problem is indeed fixed. In addition to using your engineering data, we perform the actual maintenance and repairs on your equipment whenever possible. Diagnostic and test equipment are used in our labs every day. Through years of creating product support documentation, we have learned a lot.
Involved From the Beginning
ONEIL’s analytical personnel come from maintenance, statistical, and military backgrounds, with the skills required to perform a thorough diagnostic analysis on one component or an entire system. ONEIL personnel attend preliminary design meetings, analyze engineering designs, schematics, and vendor data. They talk to your engineering personnel in order to get complete information about your product. Once all the information is gathered, they perform a thorough analysis and develop their reports.
Support At Its Highest Level
We integrate diagnostic procedures, information, tools, and metrics in ways that will make your product support more effective and easier to use. By linking our intelligent XML-powered diagnostic systems with your IETM or web-based publication, we will raise your product support to its highest level of productivity.
For example, our comprehensive diagnostic tool can shorten training time and raise comprehension because our knowledge model reduces ambiguity and delivers the right information at the right time. We have proven competency with J1708, J1939, and MIL-STD-1553 data bus interfaces, as well as integration with BIT/BITE (Built-In Test/Built-In Test Equipment), industry standard data loggers, and VIMS (Vehicle Integrated Management System). In addition to simply interpreting databus status, our Autonomous Diagnostic Manager can interact with Electronic Control Modules (ECMs), allowing you to enable or disable functions for evaluation or to manage a growing number of software-enabled options.
We take our knowledge and put it into your manuals. An IETM includes diagnostic procedures for each component or system. There may be a troubleshooting guide that walks a technician through a diagnostic or repair procedure step by step. We provide a complete diagnostic and repair solution.
