What is the difference between EMS-2 and EMS-NG?
The primary difference between EMS-2 and EMS-NG at this time is that EMS-NG is a webbased application that is launched from a web browser.
What operating systems is EMS-NG compatible with?
EMS-NG is compatible with Windows 2000 and Windows XP Professional Operating System.
What browsers does EMS-NG support?
Currently EMS-NG supports Internet Explorer 6.0 and greater.
NOTE: There are plans to expand the support to other browsers and versions in the near
future.
Does EMS-NG require any additional software to run?
EMS-NG can be used standalone, however, if you intend on performing any type of diagnostic test(s) directly on a vehicle, then the ADM software must also be installed. The ADM software is also available on the EMS website.
What are the minimum system requirements?

Does EMS-NG require a configuration file?
Yes, but it relates to the structure of the content and not the configuration of the vehicle. It will be created within the Authoring System and installed with the viewer software. No manual configuring will be required on-site.
Will the EMS-NG viewer support more than one IETM installed at a time?
At least one EMS-NG compliant IETM must be installed for the EMS-NG viewer to function, however, there is no limit as to how many IETMs can be installed at one time.
How do I install EMS-NG?
There are EMS-NG Installation Instructions located on the EMS website.
How will I be notified about the latest release of EMS-NG?
This website will post the most current release information along with the latest downloadable files.
What updates have been made to EMS-NG since the last software release?
There is a readme file located on the website that provides a history of updates made to the EMS-NG viewer application. This is also available to the user, once the application is installed, that can be accessed as follows: Start > Programs > EMS-NG > readme.
Will EMS-NG be providing authoring software and if so, when will it become available?
EMS-NG will have authoring software that will be accessible online via the EMS website. Authors will be able to create, edit, publish, and post content for review. Once the content is approved, it can be posted for all applicable users to download. It is forecasted to be completed by the 2nd Qtr of 2007.
