What is the latest release of EMS-2?

The current release of EMS-2 is version 2.8.2.6.

Is EMS-2 software XP compatible?

EMS-2 version 2.8.2.6 (Authoring and Deployable) is compatible with Windows XP Professional Operating System (OS).

When will EMS Next Generation be available?

EMS-NG is available.

When and why do configuration files change?

The configuration files are used to set environment variables in EMS-2. As functionality is added, oftentimes an environment variable may also need to be added.

If the configuration file changes with a new release of EMS-2, will it be necessary for the configuration file in my current IETM to be updated to reflect that change?

It may not be necessary if you are developing to functionality requirements from the previous version, but you should keep in mind that a later update to your project may include the most current version of EMS-2. Bottom line, overall configuration management of your EMS environment should reflect the newest and most current tools.

How will I be notified of any configuration file changes?

This Web site will post the most current configuration file release notes.

How will I be notified about the latest release of EMS-2?

This Web site will post the most current release information with either a download site or a mailing address for the most current copy.

Are training and/or technical support available?

Author training for both EMS authoring environments (EMS-2 Word and EMS-2 Epic) are available as a one-week course. A RPSTL training course is also available.

Is there a training course available for using the IETM?

Although IETM use is intuitive to most people, some useful information is imparted during the author training sessions. New Equipment Training offered by the Equipment OEMs generally will include EMS-2 IETM use and training for the end users.
