Safety and hazard analysis is performed to determine what hazards (either to personnel or equipment) exist in using a product.
The initial information is organized and analyzed as to how the potential hazards can be either lessened or removed. These analyses are usually based on the methodology contained in MIL-STD-802. These practices are then tailored to fit end-customer requirements.
