Graphics Technology Feature
This conceptual animation was created to show the internal workings of a 4-cylinder engine overhead cam. The 3D file and animation was created using Cinema 4D and put together in Adobe Flash CS for presentation in a learning environment. For certain learning objectives, bright colors are used to differentiate the many moving parts, rather than striving for photo-realism, which could obscure details. This allows a student to clearly see all the important mechanical parts and their interaction with each other.
