"Working at O’Neil is rewarding because while I am expected to produce a quality product, I have the assurance of receiving the resources I need to meet or exceed those expectations. This brings security and satisfaction to the kind of work I thoroughly enjoy." – B. D., Senior Technical Writer
Writers in this group develop and/or revise existing procedures and supporting documentation for military and commercial aircraft and ground support equipment.
We prefer “hands-on” military or commercial (A&P licensed) aircraft experience. An engineering (electrical, mechanical, aerospace) background is beneficial. Ability to interpret engineering prints and schematics/wiring diagrams a must. Computer literacy is required as well.
Typical projects include aircraft system level documentation (AMM, SDS, WDM, SSM, FRM/FIM, SRM, AIPC, etc.), military aircraft, regional aircraft, commercial aircraft, business jets, very light jets (VLJs), light sport aircraft (LSAs), and unmanned aircraft (UASs).
Typical software used includes Arbor Text Epic Editor, FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, IsoDraw, and various engineering/illustration tools.
Our Technical Writers possess strong analytical skills and can-do attitudes.
