“While both challenging and rewarding, working at O’Neil and Associates has allowed me to continue working in Aerospace and to make a difference with maintenance manuals of the future.”– P. S., Technical Writer II

Programmers/Developers: Department of Defense

Primary focus is currently on software development for Army-related contracts: EMS, ONeTOOL and a Web-based S1000D Editor.  Key development areas deal with content management systems, IETM/CBT viewers, and advanced diagnostics.

Required skills include a strong technical background, experience and/or knowledge of object-oriented programming, detail oriented, able to work in a team environment, and having strong Web skills (including programming and tagging languages). These associates are eager and able to learn new technologies, open-minded, and able to contribute analysis and ideas to the team/project. They are willing and able to work overtime, as needed, to meet deadlines. Design and architecture skills plus strong hardware skills are preferred as well.

The work involves complicated software, particularly in the diagnostic area, so senior-level experience is preferred. We develop a suite of software tools, both Web based and client based, that includes Content Management Systems (CMSs), Content Development Systems (CDSs) (for authoring), Content Publishing Systems (multiple media outputs: CD, DVD, Web, paper, etc.) and Web portals (interface between user groups for authoring, publishing, and distributing different types of files), IETM viewer, advanced diagnostics, conversion tools, computer-based training viewer, DTD/authoring support for EMS NG clients, ONeTOOL, and S1000D Editor (Web accessible).
